Bath Abbey Footprint Project

The floor of Bath Abbey has more memorial stones than any other church or cathedral in the UK.
The Bath Abbey Footprint Project, carried out by Architects Feilden Clegg Bradley was initiated not only to repair the failing floor, but also to install an innovative sustainable heating system, repairing the building and provide the flexibility to enable the building to be used for events as well as worship. A new lighting scheme by Michael Grubb Studio adds to this flexibility and enhances the building fabric after dark.
