The theme of Cathedrals and light has been and will continue to be explored, but rather than sunlight pouring through windows illuminating the interiors, here we see them from outside at night under artificial lighting conditions. The focus is on parts rather than the whole, facades at ground level, doorways, corners and other human scale elements. Taken on winter evenings just after dusk and during Evensong, there is a brief time whilst there is internal illumination visible through the windows as well as external illumination. The results are both mysterious and very much in the present.
