Serpentine Pavilion 2018

Frida Escobedo talks about her Serpentine Pavilion being composed of “little moments piling on top of one another”, rather than being perceived as a whole it is encountered as a “montage of spaces”.

“It is a pavilion that is meant to be perceived in fragments and in moments, but none of the moments that you have in the pavilion are going to be the same, so if you go to the pavilion one day and then you remember it the next that way of remembering will not be the same as the experience, it is more dream like memories of what a space and emotions are.”
